Possibilities of the Kinderwunsch therapy

Depending on your results and your individual situation, you decide on a type of fertilisation and additional therapies, with our support. At the Kinderwunsch Institut, we offer the following fertilisation options to finally fulfil your dream of a planned child:

Optimum sexual intercourse

The best time to try to become pregnant is around three days to one day before ovulation. The probability of successful fertilisation is greatest at this time. This option, optimum sexual intercourse, uses monitoring of the cycle to determine this time period exactly so that you know when to spend some romantic time as a couple in the bedroom.

Insemination is often carried out if there is low sperm quality – either as a result of a low sperm count or low sperm motility. Either the partner’s processed sperm or donor sperm from our sperm bank can be used, which also makes this method a gentle way of getting pregnant for lesbian women.

In vitro fertilisation (IVF)

If the fallopian tubes are blocked or the sperm is low quality, in vitro fertilisation (IVF) is possible. During IVF, an egg is fertilised in vitro (“in glass”). The egg cell is combined with the processed sperm in a test tube, where spontaneous fertilisation takes place. In this way, a natural selection of the high-quality sperm occurs. With our patented methods IVF pure and IVF active, we offer both a hormone-free and a hormone-assisted version.

Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)

A further possibility is provided by ICSI, intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection. This is used if the quality of the sperm is low as a result of a low sperm count, low sperm motility or shape. A single sperm cell is sucked up using a hollow needle and injected directly into the prepared egg cell. This means that successful fertilisation can take place despite a poor sperm result.

State-of-the-art therapies support
and supplement your treatment.

The Kinderwunsch Institut offers a range of additional therapies to maximise the probability of a pregnancy:

  • The use of an embryoscope, which photographs the embryos 12 times per minute, providing continuous monitoring, and allowing us to determine the ideal time for the implantation.
  • The latest incubator from the company Merck Serono – Geri – with individually controlled incubation chambers
  • Our own ova bank with egg cells from donors from Austria
  • Our own extensive sperm bank
  • Automated freezing and thawing of egg cells and embryos by the state-of-the-art vitrification instrument Gavi

"It is always very important to us in every treatment to focus on the resources available to us rather than on any deficiencies present.” "
