Diagnosis in the woman

What to expect?

The examinations of the female partner include the following with regard to various functions: thyroid function, sex hormone balance, blood coagulation, the patency and function of the fallopian tubes and the uterus. Furthermore, we perform a Cycle monitoring to verify the growth of the follicle and the ovulation. Additionally, both partners are tested for infections and a genetic clarification is carried out.

Ultrasound examinations have become a key component of the fertility diagnostic and therapy. By the use of five high-resolution ultrasound units with colour-coded Doppler, the instrument-based requirements for a detailed examination of the vessels have been met. Required surgical measures are carried out on an outpatient basis.

Once all test results are completed, we establish a personal therapy schedule for you. This therapy schedule will lead you to your goal as quickly and comfortably as possible: To the child you’ve been waiting for so long!

Which are the treatments we provide for women?

Our options at a glance:

  • Reproductive health examination
  • Psychological support, weight management and biofeedback
  • In-vitro fertilisation - fertilisation of the ovum outside of the body
  • Controlled hormonal stimulation of the ovaries (stimulation of the egg cell maturation and ovulation)
  • Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) - Spermatozoon is directly injected into the egg cell, in order to facilitate the fertilisation
  • Follicle monitoring - monitoring of the egg maturation and ovulation via ultrasound for determining the optimum time for the extraction or fertilisation
  • Laser hatching - hatching support for embryos
  • Transvaginal hydrolaparoscopy (TVHL) - laparoscopy from the vagina for clarification of the lesser pelvis, ovaries, uterus and patency of the fallopian tubes
  • Embryo transfer - insertion of the fertilised egg into the uterus
  • Polaraide - shows the maturity and fertilisation capacity of each egg cell by polarised light
  • Polar body biopsy - supplies genetic information about the egg cell

Gynaecological routine examination and preventive check-ups as well as follow-up support after a pregnancy has been achieved, are not carried out in the institute, but at the gynaecologist you trust. The treatment option which offers the best prospects of success for you is discussed with both partners in a detailed therapeutic interview.

The stages of examination and diagnosis are characterised by an excellent organisation and couple-oriented processes. This means that we offer appointments outside of your work hours, we perform blood sampling at the institute and that appointments with other institutions can also be coordinated by us. Since some examinations depend on the female cycle, a period of four to six weeks is scheduled for the complete clinical diagnostics.
